Meet the Talent
Jennifer Pictou (Historical Consultant) is from Mi’kmaq Nation in Presque Isle, Maine and is a storyteller, artist, and educator. Jennifer bridges her studies of history, oral traditions, and culture together as owner of Bar Harbor Ghost Tours. Jennifer invites visitors to hear traditional Mi’kmaq stories (some of which will be spooky to mark the season) and learn more about Mi’kmaq history and culture. She holds an M.A. in American and New England Studies.
Jerry Lyden (Grandson of the Author, Producer and Narrator) spent nearly 45 years as an award winning broadcaster, starting at WAGM in Presque Isle in 1971. He was a Broadcast Officer for the 7th Infantry Division in the US Army. Among his awards are a CLIO for a Budweiser commercial, 14 Department of the Army Keith Ware Awards, and the Department of Defense Jefferson Award. As a film and TV actor, roles include guest starring on Lois and Clark, Law and Order, Homicide and many TV Movies and commercials. His stage work includes 12 Angry Men at Geva Theatre, 5 years in Murdered by the Mob in NYC,and the father of the groom in Tony ‘n’ Tina’s Wedding in Philadelphia, Atlantic City and Baltimore. He is retired and lives in Bangor with his wife, Nancy Nicholson, and their dog, Max.
Irene Dennis (voices of Ann and Marie) is a veteran actor, teacher, and director with nearly 50 years of stage experience. She is originally from the Boston area. Since moving to Maine, she has appeared at Penobscot Theatre Company in Bangor as Marie in Calendar Girls, Mrs. Gibbs in Our Town, Gale in One Blue Tarp (world premiere), Sister Willie in The Sugar Bean Sisters, and Truvy in Steel Magnolias. She received her professional training in acting, voice, dance and directing at The Boston Conservatory.
Padraic A. Harrison (voice of young Jerry, WW I) is an actor and a writer living in Chicago. Born and raised in Bangor, Maine. He attended Bard Early College at the age of sixteen where he got his BA in Theatre and Creative Writing. During the day he is a caregiver for adults with developmental disabilities.
